Plagiarism Policy

Every manuscript submitted to the Algrasy Journal must be free from content that contains plagiarism. Authors are advised to use plagiarism detection software to check for content similarity. Saintekom Journal actively checks incoming articles using a third-party application, Turnitin. The maximum limit for plagiarism in accordance with Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education (Ristekdikti) regulations is 20%.

The Algrasy Journal Editorial Team recognizes that plagiarism is unacceptable and has established the following policy which details the specific actions (penalties) to be taken when plagiarism is found in articles submitted for publication in Saintekom Journal.

Definition:
Plagiarism is the act of intentionally or unintentionally obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or value for a scientific work by quoting one or all of the works and/or scientific works of others recognized as their scientific work, without properly and completely acknowledging the source.

For this reason, then:

Articles must be original, unpublished and not currently being evaluated for publication elsewhere. Material obtained verbally from other sources should be clearly noted to distinguish it from the original text. If plagiarism is revealed, the Chief Editor is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve action based on the level of plagiarism revealed, as per the rules below:

Level of Plagiarism

Plagiarized a few short sentences from another article without mentioning the source.

Action: The author was given a warning and asked to change the text and citations properly.

Plagiarized a large part of another article without proper citation and did not mention the source.

Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the Saintekom Journal and the author may be penalized for not being allowed to be published in the Algrasy Journal.

Because this is a violation of the code of ethics and cannot be accepted. Therefore, all authors of articles are responsible for the content of the articles they submit. If the article is found to be plagiarized, all authors will face the same penalty. If it is confirmed that the author submits a manuscript to the Algrasy Journal while simultaneously submitting it to another journal, and this overlap is found during the review process or after publication, action is taken according to point 2 above. If plagiarism is found outside the standards mentioned above, the editorial team of the Algrasy Journal is authorized to impose penalties in accordance with the editorial team's policies.
